Not so much a question as an observation to help others learning this song: this is much easier to play if you don't use finger picks. Because Justin has you plucking multiple strings at once, it's easier just to "grab" the strings with your bare fingers.

I use finger picks because I don't have good fingernails, and they work great with the fingerstyle patterns you learn early in the course, but not so much with this song.

This isn't a popular topic, but I have to ask:

How to play multiple strings in sequence, like Justin does? When he plays the chords he uses all of his fingers, but one at the time. It sounds very nice, much better than hitting every string together.

Is there a technique or it is just a matter of practice?

It's practice ... when ready you need to work your way through the Folk Fingerstyle course and build up those sort of skills very slowly.

You might want to look at the finger style lessons in the BC (. Stage 8 I think but check ) if you haven't done so already. They'll get you going.
