VLC Santa Hat - A Turn Off
« on: December 21, 2011, 06:36:41 pm »
If there's anyone out there who dislikes having Xmas forcefully shoved down their throat as much as I do... this might be useful.

VLC Player has an annoying habit of adding a Santa hat to all of its traffic cone icons throughout the Xmas period.
To turn it off you need v.1.2 or later then go to Tools-Preferences then click the "All" radio button to change from the "Simple" to "Advanced" options. Now expand Interface>Main Interfaces>Qt then scroll down and un-check "Allow automatic icon changes".

Aaahh... I can't tell you how much better I feel for discovering that.
(...and some sheeple say I'm an obsessive control freak) :)

Methinks you've found yourself with a little too much time on your hands lately, Ben.............

....... he says, whilst tinkering around with his new engine diagnostic reader tool.............
