After the success of Rumours, I remember buying Fleetwood Mac's next album, Tusk, and being a bit disappointed by it.

But I did love Brown Eyes, the best track on the album in my opinion.

A couple of days ago I discovered that there is an alternate version, with completely different lyrics:

Apparently Peter Green is alleged to have played on this track, but the internet seems divided as to the truth of this. The lyrics do seem to suggest that they were written for him.

Does anyone know whether that left hand channel was indeed Peter Green?

One thing for sure, Christine McVie sounded great on this track.
Started BC Sept 2016.
Acoustic: Yamaha F310, Washburn WD7, Freshman FA1AN, Taylor GS Mini
Electric: Epiphone Les Paul Standard Pro

I am currently listening to a beautiful tribute to Funkadelic's Maggot Brain made by the one and only John Frusciante. Man I don't know what is it about this guy, he just strikes all the right notes in my music taste. Beautiful fuzz and delay, I'm telling you I will learn it one day (once I buy and learn to play with wah/delay pedal)! Hope you can appreciate it as I do, almost 10 mins of pure electric guitar playing. Enjoy!

Really enjoyed that one Clint, I’ve been copying the chords and playing along with her. What is she playing after the D in the intro? I can’t quite see it. Wow she nails these barre chords!

She's sliding the E note down to Eb. Basicly barring the eBG string on the 4th fret capo 2.
This is a  EM7. Them she playing the 4 fret A strinh F#M7 to B.
These are the actual chords not relative to the capo.

Thanks stitch. It’s these subtle chords that can make a simple song sound great. That and a 1946 Martin, great strumming technique and a beautiful voice! 😃

Is she in standard tuning? Lack of talent notwithstanding I can’t quite get her sound.

I think the chord after the Dmaj chord shape is a Dmin7 chord shape. Fat cigar finger guys like me just bar all three treble strings, but she just slides the finger on the B string down one fret to make the bar. The beauty, simplicity and stunning vocals just slay me on this track. Glad that folks here like it as well.

DM7 relative to the capo. She moving from the Root to the 7th not flat 7 and keeping
the 3rd.
The accual chord is EM7

You are correct sir! The actual chord shape is DMaj7.

It should be noted that Justin's Vintage Songbook contains this song, but is capo 4 C-C-Dmin-G7 for the first section of verse one. This version just never sounded right to me.

To quote Justin from his Vintage Song Book -
“... this is considered to be one of the greatest pop records ever made. It is a textbook example of great pop songwriting and arranging”.

I suppose a song with that pedigree is open to interpretation.

Really unique to say the least -- heckuva shredder. I've seen her a few times on Norman's Rare Guitars channel. Always brings a lot of energy, playfulness and humor.

I’m so glad you said that because I couldn’t place where I had seen her. I am a regular watcher of Norman’s channel too. Especially guitar of the day.

Zakk Sabbath's Vertigo.

I'm not sure what to make of it, actually. I love Black Sabbath, and this is an impressive tribute (it's the Black Sabbath album re-done) which absolutely does justice to the original material. The songs, playing, and singing are all good. However, as I listen to it I'm wondering why not just listen to the original album?

I agree :)
Always listen for the differences in interpretations of covered songs.
Here's an interesting (if lesser known) version of a Sabbath tune ;)
