Yesterday I had a cup of tea and a chat about art, politics and the world. In his youth he used to catch the same bus as Susan Ballion. Enjoy

Some different vibes, picked up via a FB post by my brother, this is the text accompanying the YT video ...

"Monsieur Periné hails from Colombia, a country known for its Afro-Colombian cumbia, as well as New York-style salsa. Instead, however, the band has embraced 1920s-era, guitar-driven jazz from the U.S. The unlikely inspiration has resulted in a large and international following, as well as a Latin Grammy not too long ago: Monsieur Periné was named 2015's Best New Artist.

Words don't do this band justice. Play the video and discover Monsieur Periné's magic for yourself."

Another Avett Brothers song. I listen to this a few times during the week. I love the lyrics and the message in the final verse.

So I was listening to one of Johan's recent covers just now. After his video ended, I switched tabs back to the forum so I could comment on his video. Meanwhile, on the Youtube tab the next video started playing. Wow, who was this singer I'm now hearing??? It was Gregory Alan Isakov performing San Luis. Never heard of him before in my life. But this song had my attention immediately. Really, really nice.

Before i start this thread, a request to all users posting here : no more than 3 posts per user per day in this thread, please.
This shouldn't become a post count padding thread !!, i'm making this as a means to see what everyone else listens to throughout the day.

I'm currently listening to a song some of our Belgian members might know : Kris De Bruyne - Vilvoorde City

I’m listening to Acoustic Blues playlist on Spotify. Really easy listening.

@willsie01 that playlist is a personal favorite of mine.   I'm listening to a lot of Kenny Wayne Sheppard at the moment.  This clip explains why.

Oh man-
Trip down memory lane.
I still have a house in Rialto, which was a stone's throw away from Fatima Mansions (now demolished) and Dolphin House (being upgraded), both identikits of the long balconies in the video.
What neck of the woods are you from?

I would be what Bono referred to as "a poshy from Malahide" - couldn't afford to live there now though.
