So... what are you currently listening to ?
« on: September 14, 2011, 05:33:33 pm »
Before i start this thread, a request to all users posting here : no more than 3 posts per user per day in this thread, please.
This shouldn't become a post count padding thread !!, i'm making this as a means to see what everyone else listens to throughout the day.

I'm currently listening to a song some of our Belgian members might know : Kris De Bruyne - Vilvoorde City
"You need a little bit of insanity to do great things"
--Henry Rollins

Rum, Sodomy and the Lash.

It's been far too long (this  bit is a sentiment and not something I'm listening to).

I'm currently listening to a song some of our Belgian members might know : Kris De Bruyne - Vilvoorde City

that "city" is practicly my back yard :p
"Amsterdam" by the same guy is never skipped. I always use the 4 opening lines when somebody asks about Amsterdam and what to do there etc... and only a few get it :p

I have my little ipod shuffle for work always nearby and I really dig the live version of "since I've been loving you" by led zeppelin these days. I just came back from a business meeting with a client and cursed loud as the radiostation didn't play the solo from "hotel california"

Oh, so you're one of those people responsible for all the political trouble in the Belgian formation talks ?  ;D
Jokes aside, my dad used to play 'Amsterdam' a lot when i was a kid, never really liked it until i got older and came to understand it better.

Learning the song, came across this version.  Patti Smith breaks my heart she is so xx--xx beautiful.  And there's that word "authentic".

"I held you in my arms.  You were so young and small in my arms.  And I imagined you racing through a bright green field.   I imagined you walking from star to star.  I could feel you swimming in the bluest sea.  I wanted you to be running instead of me"

Neil Young.  Helpless.  With Patti Smith and guests.

Yeah, I wonder what show that was. I see Bowie's entire band was there. I don;t recognize that other little group around the other mic.

I went on a Neil Young YT binge last night myself.

I've been really liking this lately...

I've been listening to alot of old Satriani lately, particularly the Surfing With The Alien album,
Have to say my favourite song of it would have to be Always With You Always With Me
