AT2020 LD (non usb) mic
« on: August 06, 2011, 07:13:50 am »

Anyone got one of these? I'm just checking out some mics and this one fell into my view.
The price on Amazon is very tempting at $66.30 with Prime available for it too (meaning i don't pay shipping hehe)

Wow,
It does look tempting at that price. Just a couple things to consider. Check out that noise spec in comparison to other condensers... Also, kind of strange they do not show it with a shock mount. But who cares!

They also make a stage model:
Audio-Technica AT2010 - might be worth a look as well.

I would buy here as the price is better and I buy from them all the time. Shipping is decent:
Audio-Technica AT2020 - Cardioid Condenser Recording Microphone
PRICE: $ 61.17
FREE SHIPPING

I think at this price you need to pick one up and report back to us (me lol) as I might be looking at one too. You first... ;)

i don't use shock mounts anyway. Never seen the point in them. My current one just sits on top of my amp head and does nothing.

Well, they've got a good special on two AT mic's too
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/415710-REG/Audio_Technica_AT2041SP_AT2041SP_Cardioid_Condenser_Studio.html

Problem is... My reason for using Amazon is because i earn a lot of gift cards and so buying on Amazon doesn't cost me anything. I usually clock up about $10 in gift cards every month for free (yes, i really mean free. It doesn't cost me a penny). I would be happy to show you how if anyone's interested. PM me.
So i won't be buying from bhphotovideo since i have free money sitting on amazon right now waiting to be spent lol

Ragz,
Gotcha - up here Amazon costs us about 10% more in tax due to in state presence... So I avoid them when I can.

BTW - That rebate is good at any dealer! That means you are in at about $46 at Amazon with your deal there if my math is right. Worth reading the fine print on the rebate I suspect.
