Justin, great riff and Riff of the Week is really a great idea. Thanks. I'm using it to work on writing out timing in proper music notation, ala the JUSTIN method. I have written this one either as a 2 measure riff based on a 1/16 note strum pattern and at 90-92 bpm or as a 4 measure riff with an 1/8 note strum but at ~180 bpm. I  think that the first is correct, 2 measures, but how do you know what is correct?

You use the BPM from the song. The first one on TouTube is about 85bpm. Count it Kick Snare Kick Snare 1 2 3 4. That's 1 measure.

(if this solved your issue, no need to respond to thread)

This is my rough response. I added my own bass, drums, and chorus, but I'm not totally sure if it's worth continuing with it because of the whole unreleasablility thing. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
JB
