Justin, that is far and away the best interview you have ever gotten. What a nice guy to take all that time. ...and I'm only 3/4 through it.

I hope everyone pays attention to how often he refers to the various tone steps of chords and how important it is to learn them.

"Beautiful women and drunken Englishmen"  Sooo... is there something else you want to tell us?

I have NO RESTRICTIONS in place at all, so I have no idea why that might be - does it happen with any other clips? lets get to the bottom on this!

No other clips seem to be blocked. A few hours ago, the interview worked fine, too...

This is more of a lesson than an interview, Man to spend that long with a tone genius.
The cool country song in A is working mans blues.
S&H green stamps funny stuff.
He is a large man, but was very humble, when I am done with my Robben Ford and Brad Paisley lessons I will check out his lesson for sure.
This was better than a news letter  ;D

I have said this so many times here only TB really agreed your tone comes from your fingers,
With every chord you have chord tones.
I have wrote about the tone of just moving the dominate 7th around the E A and D forms are the most movable.
Some lesson on these would be cool.
Loved this, I can tell you loved it too.
This is great.
There is alot of noise from the city, with him smoking I would think a open window would be needed.
Please feel free to repeat any list of names he dropped or song names as some were hard for a country boy not used to hearing that much back ground noise.  ;D

Absolutely! He was basically telling another guitarist how he plays so they could go home and try it out. So many interviews no matter how well intentioned become too generic. It was great that he was right there plugged in and had the ability to convey everything.

I'm still wondering if Justin tried to sneak that other Tele out in his back pocket. I saw him eyeing it.

Funny I did not see that, he was a big dude, I think I did see Justin kind of looking away from Jim's wild eyes.
I did see Justin reach for the Guitar he was playing as it slipped a little.
Justin looked real happy to be there as well.
Should be a big bonus for Justin's Channel and should help Jim's Channel as well.

I am very happy with this lesson, Interview mis-labeled .
I plan too look the guy up more been a fan since his 10 gallon cats days.

He has a more west coast tongue, or way of talking.
He clearly can talk and loves music, what a cool thing.
Maybe next time take a bass, that's really the only way it would have been cooler.
Too have gotten to make music with this Guy.
Wow  ;D

Many thanks to Justin and Jim

great interview and lots to get out of it. I know you have covered some of the stuff Justin but some pointers to lessons that you have done that can cover some of the topics raised would be brilliant.

I really liked how you both turned in to kids when discussing gear, especially the amps :)

I look forward to more excellent interviews like this in the future
