JUSTIN exercises in the new course?
« on: March 22, 2020, 12:43:41 pm »
Greetings friends!

I more or less enrolled in the new course, but having a bit of experience with the old one, I’m a little confused what happened to the JUSTIN ear exercises. I felt getting an early start on these was a fantastic idea and now I don’t really know how or when to incorporate them. Did I miss anything? Did Justin write anything about that?

Many thanks for your guidance  :)

Hey,

I was curious about that as well. However, he explains in LESSON 7 of the new course that he noticed that many of his students skipped that part in the classic version so he decided to make Ear Training a separate set of modules found here:

His explanation about as to why it's important and why he moved it is in this lesson:

Hope that helps!

I have to confess to being someone who skipped a lot of the ear training content of the classic BC. I’m afraid I found it boring and wanted to spend my time learning other aspects such as songs.

I find that as I progress in my guitar studies I can recognise the sound of all the common chords as a result of constantly playing and listening to them over time. I may come to regret this omission but have not found it a hindrance so far.
