Is this DVD the Same As App?

Hi all.

I've purchased/subscribed to the JG Beginners Course app on my ipad.  Is this DVD set a duplicate of the app?  Between the free web lessons, the app and all the books, I don't know what I need.  I've been using the free web and the app together, but I need guidance on this and other JG products.  Thanks.
