It’s good of you to say, but I made quite a few xx--xx-ups and ran out of ideas towards the end. It must be the pressure of the camera!

I’m still most comfortable in position1 but am just starting to reach out and join in a few other bits and pieces. I think it is starting to come together. As always there is still such a long way to go.

Sounds good. A few places sounded a little edgy but over all good. The opening phrases were really nicely done.

Yes, what is that backing track?

Thanks guys. I don’t know too much about the backing track, it’s a BB King style backing track in Bb - not sure where I picked it up from… maybe from a magazine cover CD  ;)

Nice work mate. 8)

I play way to short to give advices to others, but If i were to give you constructive criticism - try making bit wider, but at the same time slower vibrato, I will look and sound more controlled ;)

I took another look at it, even better the second time!
The phrasing was nice, I liked how you got a lot of variations on one lick or two, especially nearing the end.

Don't be afraid to mix and match the slows and the fast licks too, or hang on some notes or bends.
Overall, pretty impressed, how long have you been playing, and what amp did you use?

Now that was a nice blues, Graham. I swear I almost reached for the bottle of Jack I keep on the side, 'cos that's where I go when the blues come callin' mate.

Again..... very nice.

great looking strat - I liked the tone nice, simple clean blues. Phrasing was really good and kept my interest. Nice job.

well done ... good first post

I am starting the blues too and just about reaching into positions 3 and 4 of pentatonic with the odd blue note too...

I know that 3 mins is hard to sustain ... not many solos do last that long ... you did well to hold a structure made of decent licks and phrases over that time ...I'm currently aware of the need to actually build a solo with a beginning middle end etc rather than just twiddling on with licks for the duration of the backing track ... your vid shows signs of that and my suggestion would be to work even more at that aspect ...
keep it up
 :)
