I second that. I only bought the Beginners songbook a couple of months ago and would dearly love access to the Dakota song.  Can you at least post the Chord sequences for the versus, chorus, bridge etc?

So I've been looking at this song pretty much since I started playing guitar and now I have to ask.....

As Justin plays it in the video is it really a beginner song?

The tempo is 122 BPM, it uses 16th note strumming, you have to switch to a full F barreas well as accenting the 2nd & 4th beat as well as palm mute.  I was watching Kelly do the accoustic version & I notice he cheats and doesn't do the barre

So my question, is doing the F barre at 122 BPM & 16th note considered beginner stuff?  If so I think I will be beginner for a long time to come.

Great song though & something I aspire to play well with all the dynamics it has going on in this amazing accoustic version.

Dakota is rated as yellow song since you should know all the chords in the song when you complete this grade. F to G is a tricky change so once you grasp it you should be ready to move on to next level...

...however I do feel this song might be a bit above yellow level as you say because of 16th note strumming which correct me if I am wrong is being introduced in Intermediate course? You can always try to adjust the struming to something simpler - as beginner at this level should cope with 8th note strumming.

To anawer to your question - to play it like Justin I would say its somewhere on the balance of beginner/intermediate. But nothing wrong with being a beginner, it's all a relative term - beginner comparing to Justin, advanced compared to anyone who hasn't picked up a guitar and intermediate to someone who just started, all about the mindset my friend
