Which guitar(s) do you own?
Yamaha Pacifica 112 in Old Violin Sunburst

Which guitar do you currently play on?
Since I just have the one above, ...  ;)

Which amp(s) do you own?
None. My brother-in-law borrowed me his Roland Micro Cube, but I rarely use it because I feel like the amp drowns out my not playing the chords correctly, if you know what I mean.
So I play without an amp until I have saved enough to get a good one.

How long have you been playing guitar?
I started on Wednesday 26th 2020, so a little more than one week ago.

Which is/are your favorite music genre(s)?
If I like music, I listen to it and don't care what genre it's from.

Which genre do you play on your guitar often?
A to D, to A, to D.....that's not even elevator music, right?

Who are your favorite bands?
In no particular order: Queen, Muse, Tool, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Mumford & Sons, Frank Turner, Springsteen & E Street Band, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flogging Molly, R.E.M.,...

What inspired you to start playing guitar?
I wanted to do something new. And just listening to music always raised my spirits, so I thought maybe playing it would be even better.

Do you play in a band or have you been playing in a band?
No.

Why do you play guitar?
Because our flat and my bank account are too small for a concert grand. Wink, wink.

What are your goals for the future?
Learn chord changes. I'm at about 20 in a minute now, and about 15 that sound good to me.  :D

I just made my first post elsewhere, thought I'd better say hi.

Nickname: UncleRoykus
Age: mid 30s
Habitat: Surrey, UK

Which guitar(s) do you own?
Ibanez RG270DX

Which guitar do you currently play on? ^

Which amp(s) do you own?
A little old 15W Kramer practise amp, although I mostly use the free version of Guitar Rig 5 on PC

How long have you been playing guitar?
3-4 months

Which is/are your favorite music genre(s)?
I tend to go through phases of exploring specific genres but always come back to bluesy rock numbers.

Which genre do you play on your guitar often?
Song practise is currently a small mix of beginner staples and a couple of blues solos I've managed to transcribe.

Who are your favorite bands?
Right now? I'm utterly enamoured with Plini, also really enjoying Yvettte Young and Kent Nishimura's playing.
All time top artists include SRV, Satriani, Davy Knowles/Back Door Slam, Jon Amor, Chris Cornell, System of A Down, Incubus, Norah Jones, Amy Winehouse, The Boxettes, MC Xander, ...

What inspired you to start playing guitar?
I've always enjoyed listening to guitar and did try teaching myself as a kid though I didn't really get very far, classical training on pianio and flute beat the fun out of playing music back then.
Fast forward to lockdown 2020 and not having touched an instrument for 20 years, find myself hanging around the music section of Twitch.  Realised there are loads of really good self taught guitar players (using YouTube) and figured it was time to give it another crack.
JustinGuitar was recommended in multiple streams.

Do you play in a band or have you been playing in a band?
Nope

Why do you play guitar?
For my own amusement and get more out of the music I already enjoy.
Plus I had access to one without going outside and it's a flat friendly instrument.

What are your goals for the future?
Be competent enough to take on the songs I want to play
continue to have fun
