Which guitar(s) do you own?
A Stretton Payne Dreadnought.

Which guitar do you currently play on?
I only have the one guitar.

Which amp(s) do you own?
None current.

How long have you been playing guitar?
About 6 weeks.

Which is/are your favourite music genre(s)?
Quite a bit of what Wikipedia calls post-Britpop and indie. Wouldn’t limit myself, listen to a wide range.

Which genre do you play on your guitar often?
Just what I’m currently learning.

Who are your favourite bands?
Coldplay, Stereophonics, Kaiser Chiefs and currently into some James Blunt.

What inspired you to start playing guitar?
Me and the wife had a baby on boxing day, at 2 months he seemed to start singing (well making noise) when music was on. I released I can’t sing great so figured always fancied guitar and if it makes him happy (he seems to enjoy my strumming practice) that’s all the motivation I need to keep playing.

Do you play in a band or have you been playing in a band?
Nope.

Why do you play guitar?
When I started I enjoyed making the baby laugh and smile, that is still a factor but as I improve I am enjoying learning new songs and listening to my favourites with a new appreciation.

What are your goals for the future?
Just want to show my son that he can do anything he sets his mind to, also haven’t told any family I’m learning so if I could be good enough to surprise them with some music when we next meet that would be great. Also to be good enough at guitar that I could work on singing along.

Hello everyone,

Here's me:

Nickname: Robin, Rob or Bob
Real (full) name: Robin is the one, I believe, but at this point I'm not even certain anymore
Age and birthday: 26th of July, which makes me 28
Habitat: Belgium, in a small campus city

Which guitar(s) do you own?
None, strictly speaking. I am learning on my late uncle's old (and I mean old) guitar. No brand name visible, and the sticker is from a shop long disappeared.

Which guitar do you currently play on?
Well, the one I was just writing about

Which amp(s) do you own?
No electric guitar at the moment, but I do have an amp. A small Marshall 20W, gathering dust under my bed. But he'll get some love soon.

How long have you been playing guitar?
5 weeks.

Which is/are your favorite music genre(s)?
Impossible to say. I go from Rachmaninov to Stephan Bodzin, and everything inbetween.
I am very into french variété at the moment. Which is mainly awfull, so what the heck?

Which genre do you play on your guitar often?
5 weeks in it's still hard to say. Is "easy" a genre?

Who are your favorite bands?
Too many on the list, it depends on the mood. Right now, Foo Fighters and QOTSA, with a bit of NiN. After the day's work, maybe Radiohead, or Royal Blood. Rodrigo and Gabriella after supper.
I like my music like my food: varied, but nourishing.

What inspired you to start playing guitar?
Honestly, a mix of boredom during lockdown and a cellist pianist bassist girlfriend. Why did I not start sooner? Beats me...
Plus I brought my old Django Reinhardt discs from my mom's so it put the bug in my head I guess.

Do you play in a band or have you been playing in a band?
Nope, but I'm starting to enjoy playing and singing stuff with my girlfriend. Like The House of the Rising Sun, nothing too fancy. I'm can sing decently, so that's a plus.
I'm the bass singer in a four people acappella band. But we just jam, no concert or shows so far.

Why do you play guitar?
Because I didn't for too long, I suppose. And because it feels too good.

What are your goals for the future?
Play 15 minutes of guitar for every cigarette I'm not smoking anymore, which will make me a guitar god in a few years.
Learn the basis of guitar, and find what I want to delve deeper into
Finally succeed that vegan roast recipe I failed two times already, godverdomme...
Enjoy.

Do you play in a band or have you been playing in a band? No

Why do you play guitar? I love music and like having this new challenge now that I’m retired

What are your goals for the future? Stick with Justin’s curriculum and continue to learn to be a better guitar player
