Title: Sites/platform to buy and download individual songs?
Post by: Boobook on February 20, 2021, 06:55:55 am
With Google Play gone, what is the best site now to purchase and download individual tracks? Previously, when I was learning a song I'd buy it and download it as an MP3. Then I could open it with Audacity, slow it, loop it etc while I got to grips with it.

Now it seems all the big music providers are streaming only, or if you can buy and download the track, it's not in an exportable format. Is there anywhere I can go to get MP3s (or another format I can use in Audacity?) Thanks!

Check out this...

https://www.karaoke-version.com/custombackingtrack/

What's neat is you can customize alot of the tracks like remove lead vocal or guitar or bass or any combo you like. They will let you hear a snippet of what it sounds like before you buy. Good luck.

For detailed 'how to play', i really like Jerry's Guitar Bar. His lessons are clear, with downloads of his video, tab, and song sheets. https://www.jerrysguitarbar.com/
