Title: Placing Capo on Video Play Alongs
Post by: zfierocious on August 02, 2020, 03:25:11 am
In the lesson two practice, there is a video playalong at the end.

The three songs are:
1 - Three Little Birds
2 - Common People
3 - Down on the Corner

on the 1st and 3rd songs, on the play along video, there is a little capo symbol, but there is no number, so I don't know what fret to put the capo on. It's hard to practice, because when I strum, it sounds completely out of tune with the song.

any advice on how to find what fret to put the capo on?
it doesn't look like it's mentioned in the practice notes anywhere.

Thanks!

Why not give it a go and try to figure it out yourself? Start putting it on a first fret, play along the video and see if it sounds the same, if not move the capo to second fret, third etc. If it still doesn't sound good try to make sure if you have your guitar properly tuned with a tuner (phone apps available for free).

Actually on the second thought - start with tuning and then try to move capo around :)

The capo symbol is at the top, if I remember correctly, so no capo needed. :)
The feature is visible but not active.

Peace
