Title: Milestone Award - to honour the efforts of Loefgren towards a guitar goal
Post by: close2u on December 31, 2019, 03:18:06 pm
We (Justin, Lieven and Richard) wish to mark, celebrate and recognise the achievements and efforts of Loefgren.
He set himself the immense task of learning and recording one song every week. From January to December 2019 he reached #44 on this mammoth project. And he continues towards the magical #52.

Well done and best wishes Johan.

Wow thanks Richard for the acknowledgement. Cool to see the list of all songs in one post. Some of the earlier songs may have been set to private in youtube, so some yt links may not be working anymore. I have saved all videos though, so its possible to put them up again if the demand is high  :)

And a big thanks to all of you who have listened and commented  to my covers during the year. Thats what have kept me going on.

The project is not finished, I fell eight songs short. I plan to record the remaining songs during the first months of 2020. #45 will turn up soon I hope.

Okay I’m not sure if I should express my astonishment for the feat or my disappointment for not meeting my goals. But I will start with the much deserved appreciation. Congratulations Johan! Not only did you stick to your amazing goal but gave all that amazing music to listen to! Truly inspiring! And keep the music coming! 😊

Kudos to you Johan a song a week must be a real bring. I'd have given up after a couple of months and I'm pretty stubborn. Well done for getting this far....not done yet though

Wow - just wow.
That's probably 40 more than I've ever learned and you've done it in 12 months.

Instantly made me think of Roy Castle - for those of a certain age from the UK.  :D

You're a record breaker!

All the best.

Thanks Pam, Digger, Gareth, Bala, Schlaffenwagen and Pilgrim! #47 is now up on AVOYP, only 5 songs to go.

I am not sure now what will be my next project after this, but I think I am gonna work more in depth with a few songs and build a small repertoire of songs that I can play if someone asks for it. Maybe also an open mic some day, feels terrifying though...

Also work more on technique in 2020 compared to 2019, most of the time in 2019 has been devoted to learn songs. I have started to work with the folk fingerstyle module and I plan to take a look at some more of the intermediate modules.

Thanks to all of you who have listen and provided feedback to my videos in 2019!
