Title: Uke over piano...
Post by: mrearthpig on July 12, 2016, 12:14:47 pm
OK, so to try and cut a long story as short as possible...

My son wants to start making YouTube videos. I'm sure it's a fad that will die a slow and painful death, but I'll support him until he gets bored. He asked me to make a short intro for his videos.

So far I've reigned in the help of a cartoonist friend to do the character design and I'm in the process of learning how to use animation software. A piano playing friend has come up with a little tune on the piano, but now I'm looking to add some uke over the top.

I'm far from being an accomplished uke player (I think I can play about 4 or 5 songs), but I feel like this is something I should be able to do.

My question is, do I just play the same chords as the piano, or are their complimentary chords that I could play?

I've only got a very rough copy of the piano part, which can be heard here: youtu.be/0uDk_hJaDJ8

Chords are:

|F F Am Am | F F Am Am |

|Bb Bb Bb Bb | Bb Bb Bb Bb |

|F F/c F/Eb F/D | G G Am Am|

| F |

There's no way I can keep up with the walk down part, so there'll be "uke silence" there.

Any advice on the rest?

Cheers

Keep playing an F on that walk-down. ;)
