Title: Bugs, errors and corrections
Post by: justinguitar on September 06, 2014, 12:14:18 pm
Please add any corrections here!

Please give us as much info on the correction as you can, really speeds up the process if you tell us:

a) the URL of the page that needs the correction
b) where on the page the mistake is
c) what it should be changed to

BIG THANK YOU.

Please note that posts are deleted when the correction is done to keep things tidy.

Many thanks! :) J

instead of http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-193-AppliedFingerstyle.php

3) From http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-193-AppliedFingerstyle.php the next lesson link returns  returns to http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-192-PowerChordPalmMute.php and not
http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-194-12BarVariations.php

4) From http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-195-MinPentPattern1.php  the next lesson link returns another "Doh."
instead of http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-196-BluesImprovisation.php

5) From http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-196-BluesImprovisation.php link to easy songs returns another "Doh."
instead of http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-197-EasySongs.php

6) From http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-197-EasySongs.php the link to Training Exercises  returns another "Doh."
instead of http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-198-JUSTINstage9.php

Sorry work cut out for the admin guys but if my plumber had turned up an hour ago I'd not have been browsing my next leap of faith  8)

I believe the link is broken. Anyone have another link to the PDF tab?

Here's the link I'm referring to: http://justinguitar.com/images/ST_images/ST-100-SilentNight.pdf

Thanks in advance!

On the main website BC-102 • What guitar should you buy? (http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-102-WhatGuitar.php) page:

Under heading "So which one than?"  (should read then)
Then under subheading "Classical" it shows a Yamaha Steel String Acoustic headstock.

On the main site justinguitar.com, there is a link to twitter at the bottom - however, it's to the twitter homepage, where all the other social media links (youtube, facebook) point to justin's section of youtube/facebook. So I expected the twitter link to  link to twitter.com/justinsandercoe instead of twitter.com.

I can't link to external links, so I can't give the proper links here.

Hi.

On  SC-101-BeginnersScaleFAQ.php   under the heading "What scale should I learn first?", the "minor pentatonic scale" link is a dud.

[[In addition, when I try to include the full URL I get a fail with a message that says "Sorry, you are not allowed to post external links." There's a big "justinguitar.com" logo splashed across the top of the page I'm writing this on, and that's precisely what this page is for, so it's counterproductive to regard it as "external".]]

Best --

youtube.com   /playlist?    list=    PL7BE47BFB4EAA777D

The downloads for Justin playing a lot of the songs contained in the BS are a mess.

What you think you are downloading is not what is in fact downloaded.

BS 106-305+ are all Kenny Rodgers - The Gambler

Gave up on the beginning and went to the end:

BS 990 and 998 are the same song!

Found a few duff links in the ST 500 range of songs, those referencing BSB lessons seem ok its just the independent ones, as follows :

Free Justinguitar Metronome on the home page:

http://www.justinguitar.com/apps/metronome/

doesn't work properly.  If you leave it as is, at 120bpm, no problem.  Start to enter the tempo you want and it starts up on its own.  Then clicking to start/stop just initiates another set of beats on top of the one you've got, but at different times.  Also, the pendulum remains stationary.

I this because I'm still on Windows XP?  Or does everyone have this problem?

On the Justin's music page

There is a link to his band, but the n is missing from strangers. This leads not to his band's page but redirects to a shredkick page which recommends a range of online lessons that you need to pay for, which I don't think Justin is associated with in any way.

Sorry I can't include actual links but the forum prevents me.

Not a biggie, just a typo I've noticed. On the FO-100 Folk Fingerstyle page;
http://www.justinguitar.com/en/FO-100-FolkFingerstyleIntro.php

Thumb should be p = Pulgar not "Plugar".

The little finger is c = chiquito if peeps are interested (but rarely used. Flamenco occasionally uses it)

Not as standard as the others.  e and x (not initials) sometimes used.  See the wikipedia article on Fingerstyle Guitar, the section on notation.

The box with the links to previous lesson, get help with this lesson, and next lesson at the top of each page often covers the end of the teaser text at the beginning of each lesson.  For example, on the BC-111 page, only the first two lines of text can be read.

This happens both in Firefox and Chrome.

P.S. Absolutely hate the jigsaw puzzle KEY CAPTCHA.  What a waste of time.  Won't be posting much with this obstacle in the way.

I'm pretty sure that goes away after you've made a certain number of posts. It did for me, anyway. It was a little annoying when it popped up between all previews and edits of a post, but I learned to see it as a "brain teaser." Every time I completed one, I regarded it as an indication that the brain cells haven't been completely turned to tapioca by my ingesting too much artificial sweetener.  ;D

The link to the forum at the bottom of the lesson #151 is dead, pointing to an empty topic, i.e. the forum main page.

Thanks for everything!

Hey Justin,

It seem that your full "Justin Guitar song list" page that allows for searching all your videos is down. I'm getting a Site Disabled message for this URL: sites.google.com/site/thejustinguitarsonglist

"Site Disabled
The Google Account of a site owner has been disabled because of a perceived violation of the Terms of Service. The site owner needs to restore their Google Account before this site can be viewed."

I'm hoping it's just an easy fix, cuz sure is the easiest way to find a vid to match up with your songbooks with I bought a few months ago.

thx

The GG-011 page has several misspellings.  "valve" is misspelled "vavle" in the "valve amp rule #1 and #2" headings, "transistor" is misspelled "transister" in the "transistor amp rule" heading.

Also, you might mention that a valve amp is also known as a tube amp, the same way you've mentioned that a transistor amp is also known as a solid state amp.

However - please not that workshops are always announced in the newsletter before here or facebook and they often sell out! So if you're really keen - get on the newsletter!

not should be 'note'

This is under 'Tours'

P.S. anti spam on my account makes it even more brutal submitting these. *FacePalm
P.S.S The website I submitted was your own website. I'm for some reason prevented from posting external links. Including your website which makes no sense!

http://www.justinguitar.com/en/CH-008-Triads.php is unstyled. It is missing the CSS stylesheet links in the <head> section>. I compared it with
http://www.justinguitar.com/en/CH-007-Slash.php

The missing lines are:
Code: [Select]
    <link href="../media/css/justinguitar.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
    <link href="../media/css/content.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

shortly before the closing </head>.

US-109 Get Lucky - Daft Punk:
http://www.justinguitar.com/en/US-109-GetLucky-DaftPunk.php

On this page, the video that is showing is the one of "Dream A Little Dream Of Me".
I also noticed that the link to the help (forum topic) on this page is invalid.

Also didn't find the US-101 Dream a Little Dream of Me help page on the Forum...

Hi Justin,

Just noticed the amp settings are missing from the "Need Your Love So Bad" lesson. Wrong chords as well, they appear to be from the previous lesson.
