OK, I can play the main lick, thankfully it's very similar to (I think) the 3rd lick in Justin's Blues Lead series (which is played in A so slightly harder methinks).  Its the end lick that's puzzling me though. I can play the lick fine at a reasonably slow speed, and whilst I usually use a metronome to speed things up gradually I'm having trouble with this one.

If I play along at quarter note speed I can synchronise the notes with the beat, but having reached the limit on my metronome I had to switch to 8th notes and halve the speed, and now I just can't keep in time, I guess because the notes are played in triplets?  CAn anyone suggest a way round this?

Never mind. Answered my own question. Very bad habit.  Just playing three notes to each beat works well (12th notes??).

Just playing three notes to each beat works well (12th notes??).

You could call them 12ths or you could just call them triplets.  So it sounds like he's doing a triplet followed by a bend.

Yeah, just re-checked the lesson, he has the score for the lick underneath the video.

what about the right hand......

Is it all alternate picking or is Justin using pull-ofs (especially on the b-string from 15-->12 ?

I can't get it very quickly playing with alternate picking (neither can I with pull-off) but what way should I practice, the pick or pull off?

thnaks

Sorry for necroing this topic but  I have one question though.

Shouldn't first note (d before bending to e) be sixteenth instead of eight note?
So then we would have 3/8 measure.
I'm new at this so maybe I'm waaay wrong about it :)
