A real beauty indeed, this song. And all was going well until I hit that section (chord?)between the 2nd and 5th ! I thought I had long fingers but after half an hour I'm nearly convinced I gotta find another way. How about just playing the open A and barring the 2nd fret to get the hammer on on the 4th ::) I sure won't be trying to sing this one......croak ! Thanks for the torture opportunity  ;D

I was having the exact same problem.  I found that I could play the A note at the fifth fret (6-string) with my pinky then go into the barre and then the hammer on.  Seems to work and much less akward.

After 2:22 of the orig video, hope i'm right???
Same riff, starting E 9th fret, D 7th fret, G 9th fret (same shape as before but 3rd and 4th finger in 9th fret)
then:
E open, D 2nd fret (E), G 1st fret(G#)
G#7 chord shape
A7 chord shape
C#m chord shape
A (A major, barred 5th fret)
G# (G# major, barred 4th fret)
