I've seen the promo ads. I figure those guys are being paid by EB to use them so they're not gonna give a 100% honest answer. I tried EB Stainless Steel strings on 2 guitars and hated them. I should try the Cobalt at some time but right now I've been throwing Elixir Nanowebs on a few of my guitars.

Strat should be due pretty soon. Hmmmm....

I wasn't very impressed with them.

Yeah, I felt they were overly happy and like reading from a monitor or something...

Did you notice any difference compared to normal ernie ball, Dan?

Not really marcus, but i only played them using fairly heavy distortion, so...

I dont remember :P
I guess I either tried them and they were just like my usual strings, or they are still among the tubes and stuff besides my amp. I'll go and check that today.

To me the reviews by them come off like this:

"These are pretty much the best strings I've ever invented. It's bright if you like that and also the lows are great in case you dont like bright strings. They feel really good so you'll instantly become a lot better than you were before you used them. Now listen to me playing through $10,000 worth of gear and so many effects that the actual tone is pretty hard to tell apart. These are the most best strings on the market and you'll sound just like me if you play them."

It just sounds like throwing in whatever appeals to the most people. I guess I shouldn't expect them to give a totally honest review or list negative things for an advertisement, but it all just sounds so fake that it's kind of a turn off. Also JEGUS SO MUCH TREBLE.

 ;D

At 43, I will never get past 36, and in my mind, I'm always 25.  8)

On the strings. Again, I tried the stainless and was not happy. There's no magic plays itself string. I'm guessing the gear helps a ton.
