"show unread posts" and "show new replies to your posts" buttons not there

Like i said in the topic subject, they're not there.  I've had this problem before but its been going on for a couple days now.  Ive used a bunch of different browsers too.  Any help?

At the top of the screen, just below the "Simple Machines Forum" and to the right of the date and time is a "+" sign.  Click on that.  Did that help?
