 :)
Well hi friends, thought someone had better start this off. ;)
Not really a question as an observation [a good one]. also maybe good for some begginers. I'm prob half way through intermediate course and have ordered the begginers songbook , so thought i'd learn this song before it came. It took me forty five minutes to learn and i'd never heard the song before, but my main learning moment was Justin using his pinky on his G chord from C , call me , but i'd always been switching over to G using my 3rd finger as i'd started out as a begginer,so much quicker after you get used to it,just shows fingerings arn't set in stone . Thanks. lovely song as well. :)

Fingerings are certainly not set in stone - and the longer you play the more you will experiment.

That said it's important for beginners to start with set fingerings or it can muddle heads :)

It mixing it up and moving between keys of G and C... but you could also say it's in Aminor - why do you ask?

I'm trying my best to work on my transcribing skills :)

Just to be sure : is the way you teach it exactly the way it is played on the record ?

(if it is, this would be my first complete song I learn  ;)

ANYWAYS :  JUSTIN, just wanna say you're a great teacher !!! Thank you so much !

I have the beginners book and DVD, but is there a tab that matches your instructional video for this song?

Thanks so much!

In the end of the line in verse one it says"Am F G Am". Then in verse two it says it's the same, however, it really sounds like "Am F G G". Am I wrong?(not being a smartass)

I presume you mean the chorus as theres no F in the verse.

chorus 1 says Am F G Am. the last Am takes you immediately back into the verse riff.
chorus 2 says Am F G ... the last chord is absent as it is not played.

Yhea I meant chorus:)

And I understand...I just followed the book and didn't think of the Am actually being the first part of verse 2.

So I just skip that chord the second time and play nothing or play G one bar extra?

Totally chuffed with myself!!
I've just been playing along with Mr Cash himself (well, the youtube video atleast) I didn't mess up.
I still can't sing and play at the same time though but I'm not too bothered that.

So this song isn't in the Beginner's Songbook anymore and I'm trying to learn from the youtube video.

I do a lot better looking at a book though, being able to line up the chords and lyrics.

Is there any site or book out there that has that?  Is there a good one on ultimate-guitar?

Dang song rights.  :(

I'm getting confused between the chorus and verses.
