On the verse riff, is there any problem with having your middle and ring finger on the 4th and 5th strings of the 10th fret and just moving your little finger from the 12th to 13th frets instead of using your little finger to jump to the 10th fret

Unfortunately the RIAA thinks that if people have TAB they'll stop buying music and listening to musicians and the whole industry will fall apart (just like they said about player piano's, cassettes, cassette radios, CD's, and pretty much every other technical innovation that's ever come along).

So Justin (and most other places) have pulled the TAB down to avoid legal hassles (and I can't say I blame them one bit). I don't know anything about the laws where Justin lives, but it's a murky mess right now in the U.S. between fair use and infringement. And since this is a .com domain, which the U.S. holds the keys for...

When I play this kind of song on my electric guitar it sounds nothing like the one in the video is this to do with the tuneing please help

Yep, the tuning. Or the guitar. Or the guitar settings. Or the amp. Or the amp settings. Or the pedals. Or the strings. Or the pick. Or ...

Could you be a bit more specific on "sounds nothing like"? ;) Are you in the wrong octave (everything seems to low/high), do some notes "fit" and some don't, or are you simply referring to tone?

Pretty tricky verse riff to play if you have you guitar lower than as it is in the sitting position. I can't stretch my little finger enough to reach 13th fret. So now I'm developing fingering, different from Justin's one.
Instead of having my 3rd finger on the 10th fret of the 5th string, I use 2nd finger. This allows my little finger to reach 13th fret, also it's better to leave 1st finger from the low E string when making this little finger jump. In my version 3rd finger is taking care of the 10th fret of the 4th string.

I would like to hear from someone who also has guitar pretty low. Ho do you play?

If the guitar is too low for me to play the line, I shorten the strap and raise the guitar up.

You can look cool all you want, but if you can't reach your guitar, you can't play, and if you can't play you won't be cool (unless you're the Monkees or Milli Vanilli).
